Pudu Robotics Launches GT Series at IFA 2026: A Commercial Mowing Expansion

Pudu Robotics unveiled the PUDU GT Series at IFA 2026, marking a major expansion into commercial turf management with the GT3, GT5, and GT7 robotic mowers.

Pudu Robotics Launches GT Series at IFA 2026: A Commercial Mowing Expansion

At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Pudu Robotics, widely recognized for its commercial service and delivery robots, officially introduced its highly anticipated PUDU GT Series. This new lineup signifies the company’s aggressive expansion into the commercial turf and grounds management sector, leveraging its extensive expertise in autonomous navigation.

The GT Series is not aimed at the average residential lawn. Instead, it is a purpose-built portfolio of three robust machines engineered for professional groundskeepers, municipalities, and commercial facilities.

PUDU GT3: The Hybrid Mower and Sweeper

The entry-level model of the commercial series, the PUDU GT3, features a 36-inch (91 cm) compact design. It is specifically tailored for facilities with fragmented or mixed-use layouts, such as business parks, campuses, and hospital grounds.

What makes the GT3 stand out is its dual-purpose nature. It combines traditional mowing, grass collection, and light debris pickup on turf with the ability to sweep and clean paved areas. This cross-terrain versatility allows facility managers to consolidate their equipment fleet, using a single autonomous platform to manage both green spaces and hardscapes.

PUDU GT5: High-Efficiency Rotary Mowing

For expansive commercial properties and large parks, Pudu introduced the PUDU GT5. Equipped with a massive 60-inch (152 cm) rotary cutting deck, the GT5 is built purely for high-efficiency, large-area coverage.

Pudu Robotics states that the GT5 can cover up to 16 acres on a single charge, offering up to 10 hours of continuous operation. A critical feature for commercial maintenance is its integrated one-pass cutting and collection system, which gathers grass clippings and leaves simultaneously. The robot also supports auto-dumping and intelligent task resumption, minimizing the need for human intervention.

PUDU GT7: Precision Triplex Reel Mower

The flagship of the series, the PUDU GT7, targets the most demanding turf environments: golf courses and professional sports fields. It utilizes a 62-inch (160 cm) triplex reel mower design, ensuring the precise, scissor-like cut required for professional sports turf.

The GT7 relies on a sophisticated sensor fusion stack combining RTK positioning, LiDAR, and camera vision to achieve ±2.5 cm positioning accuracy. It features independently floating reel units to follow the terrain’s contours, ensuring a consistent height of cut without scalping the grass. Additionally, it offers advanced pattern control for turf striping and boasts 4WD traction, capable of climbing slopes up to 30°. With a 12-hour run-time, it can manage up to 17 acres in non-collection mode.

Shifting the Commercial Landscape

The introduction of the PUDU GT Series at IFA 2026 highlights a significant shift in the robotic mower industry. While consumer brands are focusing on edge-trimming and obstacle avoidance for residential yards, established commercial robotics firms like Pudu are scaling up their embodied AI and sensor fusion technologies to tackle heavy-duty, large-scale outdoor maintenance. For European and US buyers, this lineup promises to bring industrial-grade automation to spaces that have previously relied on traditional ride-on or gas-powered tractors.
