SpecsLib Calculated Metrics

These indicators are computed by SpecsLib from official manufacturer specs. They do not appear as such in any brand's documentation.

Area / Price11 sq ft/€

Square feet covered per euro spent. The higher the ratio, the better the area-to-price value.

Mowing density5,872 sq ft/hr

SpecsLib estimate (max area ÷ runtime), not published by the manufacturer: actual mowing time includes mapping, obstacle avoidance and recharging, so this figure likely overstates real-world throughput.

Slope score80/100 (Exceptional)

Normalised score based on the declared maximum slope (80%). 100 = mechanical limit, 0 = flat ground.

This model's technologies, against the evidence

What the brand promises, what independent tests actually found, and the limit to plan around.

Mammotion AWD

Brand Promise

Four driven wheels, one motor each and suspension, rated for an 80% slope, roughly 38°, over roots and broken ground.

What testers found

The measurements do not line up. heise took the LUBA mini AWDAWD (all-wheel drive)Every wheel drives (usually four, occasionally three depending on the model), which helps on slopes, soft ground and wet grass. up to 38.6°, which confirms the order of magnitude. Notebookcheck did not verify the 80% figure on the LUBA 2 AWD and reports the manufacturer's number as such. On the LUBA 3 AWD 3000 the claimed slope did hold; on the 1500, testit.de saw the mower negotiate a slope without spinning out but did not measure it.

Watchout / Limitation

Traction is paid for in turf. Notebookcheck found the wheels plough the garden on soft or waterlogged ground. That is the other side of the slope figure, and it shows up in the first wet spring.

Mammotion UltraSense AI Vision

Brand Promise

An AI cameraAI VisionAI camera system for object avoidance and navigation support. tells grass from everything else and recognises more than 200 objects, to steer around them without touching them.

What testers found

Three tests describe the same split. heise watched dogs and playing children get a wide berth, on the YUKA mini and on the LUBA mini AWD alike, but small objects going unrecognised, with the advice to clear the lawn before starting. On the LUBA 2 AWD, Notebookcheck first had contact with obstacles, then none at all after raising the sensitivity in the settings.

Watchout / Limitation

Sensitivity is adjustable, and it costs something. heise notes that on the sensitive setting the mower stays safely on the grass near a stone edge but leaves more grass standing, so more strimmerSide trimmerString cutting head mounted on the side, mowing past the deck and up to the boundary. work afterwards.

What the tests say

LUBA mini AWD mainly makes sense for a mid-sized lawn that needs more traction than a typical compact mower. AWD, the quoted 80% slope rating, the replaceable 6.1 Ah battery and remote camera view make it reassuring on uneven gardens. The main watchout is Mammotion's lineup segmentation: depending on country, Standard, H, LiDAR or mini 2 versions may be the better buy.
