Only one independent test verified so far on the Dreame A3 AWD Pro 2500: LB Tech Reviews (Norway, Geir Gråbein Nordby), which gives it the top score on its own scale (6/6, "High End" label) and calls it the best robot mower it has tested. On his own property, a continuous roughly-25-degree slope (just under 50%) running down to the neighboring lawn, all-wheel drive climbs "as if it were flat terrain" where he says no two-wheel-drive robot had managed it; each wheel has its own electric motor, and the other three keep working when one loses traction. The reviewer notes, though, that Dreame's stated 80% slope rating is only demonstrated over short slope breaks, not continuously like his own lawn, and warns that a raised bank not well judged by the virtual boundary can tip the mower over the edge, as happened to his once. He compares the mower favorably to two other all-wheel-drive rivals on this exact point: the Roborock RockMow Z series, which needs a separate RTK antenna, and the Husqvarna 535 AWD, roughly double the price. On edges, EdgeMaster 2.0 pushes the cutting deck outward and, per the reviewer (who doesn't say he measured it himself with an instrument), gets within 3 cm of the boundary; in practice, the 10-15 cm safety margin he sets at his own installation still shows up as an uncut strip, and an edge trimmer is still needed. Automatic mapping works in theory but stays unreliable once garden boundaries aren't clear-cut, to the point the reviewer recommends tracing them manually; the three years of included 4G doesn't always replace Wi-Fi for locating the robot remotely from outside the garden. Obstacle detection relies on a single height setting for the whole lawn: during testing, the mower drove straight over boccia balls left in the grass without detecting them, without damage only because cutting height happened to be set to 10 cm for an unrelated reason (a trampoline on the same lawn). In inward-facing corners, the sensors struggle to judge depth: his own robot got stuck there, forcing him to retrieve it at 7:30 am on a Sunday and carry the 24 kg machine back up the slope. On wet slopes, the wheels spin more and leave visible marks once grass or soil sticks to the tires; the mower stops for rain but not for grass that's merely damp from the previous night. Other reservations: a PIN code is required every time the robot is lifted or tips over, map boundaries can't be adjusted from the app, and different cutting heights can't be set per zone.
