Four driven wheels, one motor each and suspension, rated for an 80% slope, roughly 38°, over roots and broken ground.
The measurements do not line up. heise took the LUBA mini AWDAWD (all-wheel drive)Every wheel drives (usually four, occasionally three depending on the model), which helps on slopes, soft ground and wet grass. up to 38.6°, which confirms the order of magnitude. Notebookcheck did not verify the 80% figure on the LUBA 2 AWD and reports the manufacturer's number as such. On the LUBA 3 AWD 3000 the claimed slope did hold; on the 1500, testit.de saw the mower negotiate a slope without spinning out but did not measure it.
Traction is paid for in turf. Notebookcheck found the wheels plough the garden on soft or waterlogged ground. That is the other side of the slope figure, and it shows up in the first wet spring.

Two discs per mower, close to the width of the body so it covers ground faster and passes nearer to boundaries: four blades per disc on the LUBA 2, six on the LUBA 3, for a 40 cm cutting width either way.
Deck width is what decides the edge result inside this range. Notebookcheck measured roughly 5 cm between the blades and the outer body on the LUBA 2 AWD, and mostly little to no standing grass along boundaries, with an even pattern in straight lines. LUBA 3 AWD tests report around 6 cm. On the LUBA mini and its single 20 cm disc, heise measured 12 cm left uncut by design.
Even with an edge-approach mode on the 3000 (up to 4 passes per TechRadar), none of these models reaches all the way to a wall or fence. Even at 5 cm, a ring of grass stays around tree trunks and in corners.

Five independent tests of the Mammotion LUBA 3 AWD 3000 (PCWorld, US, 4.5/5, New Atlas, US, no numeric rating, testsieger.de, Germany, 85/100, heimwerker-test.de, Germany, displayed on a German school grading scale as 1.1/6, "top tier", and TechRadar, UK, 4.5/5) all five agree on quiet operation and good AWD traction on rough ground. Three of the five testers (New Atlas, testsieger, heimwerker-test.de) further judge setup and mapping fast and trouble-free; PCWorld instead concludes that "the app and setup aren't always smooth," citing a front bumper that has to click fully into place or it pops loose during mapping. Obstacle detection is judged reliable by 4 of the 5 testers: PCWorld watched the mower stop when she deliberately stepped in front of it, testsieger saw it recognize trees, toys and even a hedgehog decoy set out for the test, heimwerker-test.de confirms with a fig tree and flower beds, and TechRadar watched it stop about three feet from a stuffed seagull toy before rerouting; New Atlas, for its part, documents the mower's ability to get itself out of a dangerous situation instead, freeing itself in exactly 78 seconds from a drainage ditch after a wheel slipped near an unmapped edge, a self-recovery behavior heimwerker-test.de separately reports too after a slip into a sloped flower-bed edge. On slope handling, none of the five tests actually measures Mammotion's claimed 80%: testsieger explicitly says it couldn't verify it in its own test setup, and its own detailed scoring gives slope performance just 2.4 out of 4; TechRadar manually climbed a slope it describes as too steep and slippery for the reviewer to walk up himself, with no apparent difficulty, but without attaching a percentage to it; heimwerker-test.de, on a test garden it describes as reaching 50-degree slopes in places, reports reliably mowing it after pre-mowing tall grass on the steepest sections - in both cases an eyeballed, uninstrumented estimate, not to be mistaken for a measurement of the 80% figure itself. The large lugged wheels also leave marks in the lawn during turns per two sources: testsieger scores it 3 out of 5 on "lawn friendliness," and TechRadar, which documents the same thing on soft, shaded ground during Zero Turn manoeuvres (partly avoidable with the slower three-point-turn option), says he's personally had no such issue but knows others have. Three of the five testers (PCWorld, testsieger, TechRadar) judge the price high ("Expensive," "high purchase price," "Not cheap to buy"), while the other two (New Atlas, heimwerker-test.de) instead find it justified, even a bargain next to the cost of a lawn service; the same split shows up on connectivity and app stability, judged shaky by the same three (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth dropping for PCWorld, an unstable live view for testsieger, "a bit glitchy" for TechRadar), while New Atlas says the opposite held for its own unit, though it mentions reading other owners' complaints about connectivity online. Two product-summary figures relayed rather than measured by PCWorld and New Atlas list 15 Ah, against 12 Ah in our specs (a figure heimwerker-test.de's own spec table also echoes); on runtime, Mammotion claims 150 minutes per charge per testsieger, which itself measures only 120 in practice, while heimwerker-test.de says it confirmed 175 minutes in its own testing and TechRadar lists the same figure in its own spec table without saying whether it's a measurement - three figures that don't agree with each other. Another uncorroborated gap: New Atlas lists up to 100 mowing zones supported on the 3000HX it tested, against 30 per TechRadar and our own spec sheet. Each test also reports isolated points the others don't confirm: New Atlas flags that the charging station's roof is a $200 option, not included, and that an oversensitive bumper during manual mowing of tall grass cuts power to the deck for about 5 seconds; testsieger, whose own worst subscore is precisely cut cleanliness (3.2/8), notes an uneven mowing pattern, no PIN protection at all, a white housing that shows dirt quickly, and a battery that's technically user-removable but without a clean click system, which conflicts with our current spec (non-replaceable battery) without settling which is right as of today, despite a direct attempt to verify it against the official manual, which is inaccessible as fetched; TechRadar notes the included charging cable is only 5 m, half the length of the LUBA 2's, and that the omnidirectional front wheels collect a lot of mud; heimwerker-test.de notes lastly that on the steepest sections, tall grass needed a first pre-mow before the robot could work the area cleanly.
