The measurements do not line up. heise took the LUBA mini AWDAWD (all-wheel drive)Every wheel drives (usually four, occasionally three depending on the model), which helps on slopes, soft ground and wet grass. up to 38.6°, which confirms the order of magnitude. Notebookcheck did not verify the 80% figure on the LUBA 2 AWD and reports the manufacturer's number as such. On the LUBA 3 AWD 3000 the claimed slope did hold; on the 1500, testit.de saw the mower negotiate a slope without spinning out but did not measure it.
Traction is paid for in turf. Notebookcheck found the wheels plough the garden on soft or waterlogged ground. That is the other side of the slope figure, and it shows up in the first wet spring.

Two discs per mower, close to the width of the body so it covers ground faster and passes nearer to boundaries: four blades per disc on the LUBA 2, six on the LUBA 3, for a 40 cm cutting width either way.
Deck width is what decides the edge result inside this range. Notebookcheck measured roughly 5 cm between the blades and the outer body on the LUBA 2 AWD, and mostly little to no standing grass along boundaries, with an even pattern in straight lines. LUBA 3 AWD tests report around 6 cm. On the LUBA mini and its single 20 cm disc, heise measured 12 cm left uncut by design.
Even with an edge-approach mode on the 3000 (up to 4 passes per TechRadar), none of these models reaches all the way to a wall or fence. Even at 5 cm, a ring of grass stays around tree trunks and in corners.

Only one independent source identified so far on the Mammotion LUBA 3 AWD 1500: testit.de (Germany, Stefan Laun), which calls it one of the strongest recommendations on the market and gives it an internal score of 94/100 (shown to readers as a German school grade, "Sehr gut," 1.3, with first impression scored 1.0, navigation 1.5, cutting quality 1.3 and the app 1.5). On its own test garden, the mower climbed and descended a slope the reviewer calls "pretty steep" without ever spinning out; no degree or percentage was actually measured, though, so Mammotion's claimed 80% remains an unverified manufacturer figure for this test. In the rain, as long as the lawn is not completely waterlogged, mowing continued without much trouble per the reviewer, even if a few blades sometimes stayed uncut; it is turning on a wet slope, rather than rain itself, that leaves the most marks, detailed further below. Obstacle detection was reliable on every test object, a tennis ball and two fabric hedgehog decoys, given a good meter of berth around the decoy, and the mower stopped immediately when a person deliberately stepped into its path. Setup, including a firmware update, took under 30 minutes; on a roughly 500 m2 area at a 5 cm cutting height, the mower finished in just under two hours, about a third of the 1,500 m2 cap claimed for this variant - a lawn that size would need roughly three charge cycles, with an 80-minute recharge between each. The reviewer measured noise at about 60 dB (distance unspecified), placing it mid-pack for the category and calling it "clearly audible" while noting, in his words, that a conversation nearby is still possible without raising your voice; that figure lines up with the 56 dB Mammotion claims and the 60 dB testsieger.de measured on the 3000 variant, which shares the same chassis. The 15 mowing zones available on this 1500 variant are confirmed, enough per the reviewer for a lawn this size. The app is judged among the best this reviewer has seen on a robot mower, with zones, schedules, per-zone cutting height and a live-viewable onboard camera; automatic mapping, though, is only reliably usable in simple gardens with clearly defined zones per this reviewer, with manual mapping still recommended for most real gardens. The lugged wheels leave light marks in the lawn - nothing dramatic in the reviewer's view, who suggests changing the mowing direction in the app - somewhat worse on slope U-turns, especially on wet ground. The DropMow feature, new and still in beta - drop the mower anywhere in the garden with no prior map, start it, and it mows the immediate area in a structured pattern, useful for a one-off patch - is called a genuine highlight by the reviewer, with the core idea already working well.
